The Boring Clown

... sad, sad ...

He only occupied the small, middle cucurbit. But it was after all impossible to miss him because, even if his antics were boring, there was a lot of activity there. The activity was all in vain, however, because the more he flapped his miniature arms, the more he bored.

My cousin Wilhelm Conrad had just returned from presenting a paper on "Blacula in Gegenschein" at the Ultima Thule Foundation over in Marfa, and came down the aisle after me. Even he was bored by this clown's glassed-in antics.

Suddenly, I looked back at my cousin again and he was bursting with flavor!
